My interest in Yoga developed into a deep passion when I noticed positive shifts in my mood, health, and spiritual perspective on life. I believe that Yoga can allow anyone to discover the strength and harmony that naturally resides within. My eight years in the childcare profession has complemented my teaching style immensely. I create a fun and focused atmosphere by incorporating creativity and mindfulness in meditation, physical movement, and breathing techniques. Whether teaching adults or children, I invite my students to pay attention to the ways Yoga can support them in their self-discovery and growth on and off the mat. I received my 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga certification from Yoga Vida and I am a Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance. I also studied under Sarah Herrington, founder of Om Schooled, and earned a Kids Yoga Teacher certification. I am grateful for all the teachers (big and small) in my life. I am deeply honored to share the teachings of Yoga.

Awareness of our mind, body and spirit is a difficult task to master, but through fun and creative age-appropriate activities, I believe children have an advantage at allowing themselves to be connected with their true inner beings. Personally, I have been fortunate to discover the benefits of both meditation and yoga while practicing daily and look forward to sharing my insights with the children of Child•cor.

From earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology, becoming a licensed massage therapist and getting certified as a Special Olympics Aquatics coach, I have been inspired mentally, spiritually and physically to apply my knowledge and skills to teach and serve others. It is essential to build a strong support group and provide children with the tools they will need to become confident, empathetic and healthy well-rounded individuals. I am grateful to have the opportunity to be a part of Child•cor and help instill the positive values that this wonderful program offers.

I have spent years teaching classes to children and adults with special needs that have included yoga, dance, arts and sports. I take pride in making a difference and being a positive role model in each of my student’s lives.
